I'm very worried about having developed either some nerve damage or maybe BP issues, which would explain the sudden adrenaline rushes (maybe the adrenaline would be my body's response to low brain perfusion).

My main fear is it being some kind of nerve damage or something with my central nervous system going haywire, as I've noticed some other symptoms that have started to coincide with these zaps, such as: brief second tinnitus before brain zaps, brief second muscle twitch before and during the brain zap, transient numbness in my limbs, and transient tingling in my scalp. Have been awakened several times in the middle of an adrenaline rush caused by a zap while sleeping. I've noticed that mine are always worse when sitting back and especially when lying down with eyes closed trying to sleep. And might I ask you some questions since you've read up a lot on the brain zaps? It's good to see someone else who has gone through this. Thank you! Your post really made me feel better. I don't want to have cardiac arrest and die. Very fast heart rate, feeling suffocated, hands and feet are cold, dizzy, lightheaded, nauseous, trembling, scalp tingling. All doctors just say these are panic attacks, but I don't feel anxious before these episodes come on. The produce hormones that regulate the immune system, blood pressure, metabolism, and the stress response. Even had a Chest CT with contrast last year. The adrenal (s uprarenal) glands are located at the top of both kidneys. Had several EKG's, Echos, Holter, Stress Test over the past years and all normal as well. Had a brain MRI two weeks ago for these symptoms and it was normal. Now it's getting worse and the brain zaps are triggering adrenaline rushes during the day.Īnyone else get this? Please help, I don't want to die. It always worse when lying down and wakes me from sleep with heart racing. It's always triggered by a 'brain zap', like a brief second of twitch and electric feeling in my brain that triggers the adrenaline rush itself. Constant adrenaline rushes, feel like my head is light, like I'm suffocated. My heart rate keeps swinging from 110-160bpm. I'm writing this because I'm afraid to die.
